Stoke-on-Trent, England, United Kingdom
Apply for this job

Are you confident managing business customer relationships, coordinating orders and making sure nothing falls through the cracks? This is an opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day customer experience in a growing business, working closely with the sales team and suppliers to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll join a small, friendly team in a growing B2B business. It’s a relaxed but hardworking environment where people know their customers and work together to get things done. This isn’t a contact centre role: you’ll have the time and responsibility to understand requests, solve problems and keep customers informed.

What you’ll get

  • £30,000–£35,000, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday hours, 9:00am–4:30pm
  • 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • A varied role in a personable, growing business

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help business customers get the most from their accounts, from a smooth start through to ongoing support. Working closely with customers and the sales team, you’ll coordinate onboarding and account changes, answer questions and spot where customers could benefit from additional support. You’ll also:

  • Support new customers with onboarding
  • Place and track orders through supplier portals
  • Process changes to customer accounts and check details carefully
  • Keep customer records, tasks and follow-ups up to date in the CRM
  • Resolve  queries and coordinate help with more complex issues

You won’t be expected to sell. You will, however, need to be comfortable picking up the

phone, making proactive calls and taking ownership until a customer’s request is resolved.

What you’ll bring

You may come from customer service, account administration or a similar support role. What matters most is that you’re confident with people, organised and reliable.

Experience in telecoms, mobile phones, technology or software would be useful, but it isn’t essential. What’s most important is:

  • A warm, professional telephone manner and strong customer service skills
  • The confidence to contact business customers proactively
  • Good attention to detail when handling orders and account changes
  • The ability to use several systems and online portals
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience keeping CRM records accurate
  • A practical approach to solving problems and following things through
