We’re recruiting for a Finance Manager to join an established, steadily growing group of businesses.
In this newly created position, you’ll lead the group’s finance function, combining hands-on financial management with oversight of reporting, controls and processes to support its continued growth.
What you’ll be doing
As Finance Manager, you’ll join a friendly, supportive team, working alongside a Finance Assistant and Junior Administrator who will help manage the day-to-day workload
You’ll take the lead on day-to-day finance across the group, managing accounts, payroll, VAT and CIS while giving the directors clear monthly financial information.
Finance is the main focus, though you’ll also oversee some office and HR administration. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing purchase and sales ledgers, invoicing, payments and bank reconciliations
- Keeping intercompany transactions, recharges and expenses accurate and reconciled
- Running payroll and preparing VAT returns, including the domestic reverse charge
- Managing CIS, from subcontractor verification through to monthly returns and statements
- Producing monthly financial reports and monitoring cash flow and budgets
- Working with external accountants to prepare year-end information
- Overseeing office administration, employee records, annual leave and sickness records, with support from the team
What we’re looking for
- The successful Finance Manager will be AAT Level 4 qualified, or equivalent, with solid experience in a hands-on finance or accounts role.
- You’ll need to be confident managing payroll, VAT and CIS, including the domestic reverse charge.
- You’ll also be comfortable producing monthly reports, using Excel and managing your workload independently.
- Experience handling intercompany transactions across multiple businesses would be useful, but isn’t essential.
